Orange Trees, Wine, “Haute Cuisine” and Local Products

What do we propose?

A unique experience in which you will discover enclaves where the best orange groves in the world are located, you will have direct contact with the world of wine, “haute cuisine” and unique products from the land of Valencia.

What will we do on day 1?

Discover one of the most beautiful and least known places of the Spanish Levante. Among fruit trees, olive groves and vineyards stand stately homes, witnesses to a splendid past. Today converted into authentic wine-growing estates, they produce some of the best wines in the Levantine Community.
You will visit a monumental orange grove with very unique architecture, surrounded by a large garden with a wide variety of ornamental plants. Highlights include orange trees over 100 years old that are still productive and a wide variety of fruit trees.

During the visit you can learn about all the work carried out in an organic orange orchard, from planting to harvesting the fruit, the historical evolution of this crop and appreciate the agricultural and forestry landscape of the municipality.

We continue the tour through a beautiful medieval village, a town that produces renowned artisan charcuterie to which we will pay tribute through a visit to see the production of its famous cured meats and a tasting of the products that are made on this land.

We will say goodbye with a visit to the shop that has been a supplier to the royal household, with the option of acquiring its emblematic sweets.

Lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant with a creative fusion of traditional Mediterranean cuisine with international cuisine, mainly Asian.

For dinner we are expected at a local restaurant to taste the gastronomy of the area.

After a long day we deserve the best hotel to rest. An old and romantic narrow gauge railway station, maintaining all the spirit of a symbolic building of typical Levantine architecture.

Buffet breakfast included.

What will we do on day 2?

The second day we will take it easy and rest until 12:00 noon. There is an area where the vines grow in the shelter of the mountains and where the medieval villages rise up next to the cornfields. In the heart of the province, is the ‘Spanish Tuscany’, which emerges as a destination for relaxation and discovery, original and charming to taste and discover. We will spend a relaxing day among the vineyards at a winery.
It is in a small valley that was disputed and fought over in the times of the Catholic Monarchs where regions, provinces and appellations come together, separated by unreal borders but united by a common wine tradition, embodied in a deep-rooted way of understanding wine with its own varieties, the Monastrell grape at the forefront.

We will visit a winery where Jesuit friars lived from the 17th to the 18th century. More than 240 years have passed and since then it has belonged without interruption to the same family, now in its 13th generation.

We’ll participate in a wine tasting and we will finish with a wonderful lunch in the winery.
